International Journal of Business Studies Call for Papers for Special Issue "Behavior in the Digital Era: Identity, Influence, and the Future of Consumption and Work Culture"

Introduction

In today’s hyper-connected society, digital technologies have fundamentally reshaped how individuals construct their identities, consume products, and engage in professional environments. This Special Issue explores the dynamic and often complex behaviors of Millennials and Generation Z, who are at the forefront of navigating these cultural shifts. From influencer-driven consumerism and the personalization of lifestyle choices to emerging workplace phenomena such as quiet quitting and digital burnout, this collection of research articles offers a multidisciplinary perspective on the evolving nature of influence, consumption, and organizational culture in the digital era. Through empirical studies and conceptual discussions, the contributions in this issue aim to deepen our understanding of how digital influence, identity formation, and socio-psychological factors intersect to shape both market and workplace behavior — offering valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers seeking to adapt to these rapidly changing norms.
